Probation Department jointly with Probation Project Management Office under Ministry of Justice of Ukraine are launching social project “Learn English – Open New Opportunities for Yourself”.
The goal of the social project is to create an opportunity for each child who has come into a conflict with the law to learn English for free at the premises of Juvenile Probation Centers that in turn, will promote positive changes in their lives.
In the framework of the social project, the winter English language camp “Different Together” is taking place in Bucha this week. During a four-day camp professional trainers from All-Ukrainian NGO “Volunteer” and volunteers from Pease Corps in Ukraine (English native speakers) will work with youth to improve their social and English speaking skills.
14 youth who attend Juvenile Probation Centers in Kyiv, Dnipro, Melitopol, Lviv and Mikolaev and 8 teachers-volunteers who have agreed to teach youth English for free participate in the camp “Different Together”.
After participation in the camp the youth will proceed learning English on the basis of the Youth Probation Centres in their cities. Winter camp “Different Together” was organized with the financial support of Project the Expert Deployment for Governance and Economic Growth (EDGE) and Health Right International in Ukraine and with methodological support of First Cambridge Education Center.
